Early on, Troy Roberts knew he had the passion, creativity and inspiration to start a distillery. He wasn’t interested in creating just any mass produced spirit. To him, his brand had to be the best.

Roberts began searching for the best distilling equipment and studying the methods and ingredients used to make the highest quality spirit. Roberts worked with a still manufacturer from Germany to build a custom pot still designed to smooth out bitter flavors and to produce a refined and full-flavored spirit.

A couple of years, and a lot more research, rum tasting, and self-education later, Roberts’ family operated Drum Circle Distilling company is up and running in a 6,400-sq.ft. facility in Sarasota, Florida.

Chosen to represent the beachy, carefree environment in which founder Troy Roberts grew up, our distillery is proud to have the opportunity to make world-class rum from scratch, right here in Sarasota.
